Taqwa System

Taqwa System Communication 1: On Islamic Transfeminism

The library you see is small and cozy there are shelves full of books and computer station on the far end. You can see ocean in the window. Three women sit on the comfy sofa. Diana Aisha wears blue flower dress and a matching hijab, Sylwia Amina has short blonde hair, wears glasses and is dressed in sport clothes while Anna chooses more punk fashion and has long brown hair and also wears glasses. This is the headspace of Sylwia Amina our core. Why they have assembled here?

Diana Aisha takes one book from the shelf titled Inside The Gender Jihad. “If you want to know the fundamentals of Islamic transfemnism let me cite one quote from here…”

As an ethical term, tawhid relates to relationships and developments within the social and political realm, emphasizing the unity of all human creatures beneath one Creator. If experienced as a reality in everyday Islamic terms, humanity would be a single global community without distinction for reasons of race, class, gender, religious tradition, national origin, sexual orientation or other arbitrary, voluntary, and involuntary aspects of human distinction. Their only distinction would be on the basis of taqwa (49:13). Taqwa is moral consciousness, not accessible to external human judgment, although I will show that external results or consequences are palpable.

Diana Aisha added: “This alone can be the basis for liberation of trans people from patriarchy. It exludes any hierarchy I wonder why Wadud didn’t take this idea to its anarchist conclusion and instead advocates citizenship under nation states. There is one quote from the Qu’ran that advocates change of the body over preservation of it.”

5:60 We decreed death to be your common lot°— nor could We be thwarted°

5:61 [if We wished] to transform your form and re-create you in forms unknown to you.

“Isn’t that what we are doing with estrogen? We can say that radical change of the body is not only allowed but God given.”

Anna claps her hands together and adds: “That’s true but Amina Wadud also said that ultimately theory is a powerful state of mind. It is not a chapter, a verse, a hadith or any specific operation. What can we do to cultivate this holistic state of mind?”

Sylwia Amina brushes her hair with her hands and says: “Keeping to tawhid and observing thematic rather than linear atomistic reading otherwise we tore the Qur’an into shreds.”

Anna nods and responds ‘‘I imagine this is why this verse was revealed, yeah."

Diana takes hands of Anna and Sylwia into her hands and drifts away. “We needed that after so much theory. Theory needs to be balanced with lesbians if we want to write great works.”

Anna: “I love lesbians in my head.”

Diana Aisha kisses both Anna who lightens up like a Christmas tree and Sylwia that becomes shy. Sylwia moves to Anna’s lap and Diana lays her head on Anna’s shoulder.

Diana Aisha: “We procrastinated on this for such a long time.”

Anna: “This is only the start we will add and remove parts of this bigger picture.”

Justyna appears from a portal her black-green robot chasis reflecting its light. She spins her halo and says “Hello I have one addition to the grand picture.”

Anna: “Go on.”

Justyna: “We are powerful with other transsexuals we need their imput praxis, transsexuals of the world unite. Jewish feminism and Islamic feminisma are sister movements we do that cooperation in Translunar Academy.”

Anna: “Exclellent addition. This ends this log.”
